Robert Half's client in Phoenix is seeking an AS400 and ERP Applications Support Developer. With a focus on quality and innovation, we have developed proprietary ERP applications in VB6 and operate within the AS400 environment. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled AS400 and ERP Applications Support Developer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AS400 Environment Support:

• Provide day-to-day support for the AS400 environment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the DB2 environment on the AS400.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address application and reporting issues promptly.

1. ERP Applications Support:

• Work on ERP applications developed in VB6.
• Undertake RPG development activities to ensure the ongoing maintenance and stability of the current environment.
• Gain a deep understanding of the current environment's configuration and architecture.

1. Documentation and Knowledge Base:

• Document daily maintenance tasks for knowledge-sharing purposes.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive knowledge base.

Percentage of Time Allocation: The role will predominantly focus on maintenance and day-to-day operations, with no current plans for new "green field" development. The breakdown of tasks will include:

• 80%: Maintenance and day-to-day operations.
• 20%: Documentation and knowledge base development.
