Applications Support Technician provides technical support to the team responsible for a subset of business systems applications. Provides assistance in one or all areas of applications programming that includes testing, design and analysis. Being an Applications Support Technician assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications. Typically requires an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Applications Support Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Applications Support Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Installs, repairs, and maintains diesel engines and HAZMAT tankers. Responsible for maintenance and repairs on transport trucks, trailers and pickups.
Participate in on-call rotation schedule.
state inspection and insurance papers are included in the cab data book.Familiar with all safety procedures for working with electricity, engines, compressors and material safety data sheets for related materials.
May work in proximity to significant hazards (H2S, chemicals, high voltage, elevated heights, volatile liquids, etc.), Perform brake jobs, troubleshooting, electrical problems, and inspect equipment (turbo, engine, a/c, all electrical).
Perform state truck and trailer inspections.
Proficient with paperwork, inspection compliance and records keeping.
Assist in scheduling trucks for maintenance and inspections.
Assist in maintaining Safety Data Sheets.
Work under indirect and occasional supervision.
Intermediate mechanical aptitude and familiarity with diesel and gasoline engines, electronics and testing equipment.
Applicable safety training, licenses and certifications for the job assignment.Must have and maintain a valid Class C operator driver's license to operate company pickup trucks; CDL license is preferred.
Successfully pass pre-employment background check (including MVR) and drug testing.
