Provides assistance in one or all areas of applications programming that includes testing, design and analysis. Being an Applications Support Technician assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications. Typically requires an associate degree or its equivalent. 00 FLSA Job Summary / Basic Function This part-time job includes providing specialized support for the Canvas Learning Management System while collaborating with other departments such as the Library and Testing Centers to provide support for digital learning and testing environments.
It will also include the remediation of documents for Accessibility purposes in addition to other technical issues for Faculty, Students, and Staff via phone, email, ticketing systems, and walk-ins.
This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications Requires basic computer experience (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows and Mac operating systems, and various browsers.)
Also requires the ability and willingness to learn from written and oral instructions. Need to know how to ask clarifying questions to best determine how to route calls.
Requires good customer service and communication skills as well as the ability to learn how to troubleshoot a variety of educational software issues.
Hands on training will be provided. Preferred Qualifications Prefer past customer service experience and excellent computer troubleshooting skills.
Experience as an online student.
Familiarity with issues common to Internet browsers.
