In this role, as Applications Support Specialist for ERP, you will act as a crucial link between various departments, providing vital support and configuration for essential City software applications. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software coordinates the flow of data between a company’s business processes, streamlining operations across the enterprise. Building robust relationships with other departments is not only integral to the success of Louisville IT but also fosters an environment ripe for innovation.
As an Applications Support Specialist for ERP your time will be spent supporting:
60% configuring and supporting the Tyler Technologies Munis ERP solution for Finance, Payroll, Human Resources, and Community Development (Energov)
20% SQL database administration and data reporting
10% supporting other applications like Laserfiche, RecTrac / WebTrac, Incode Court, NEOGOV
10% on new projects

Experience configuring and supporting an ERP System
Strong understanding of SQL database administration and solid data reporting skills (preferably SSRS & Crystal Reports).

Position will serve as the coordinator of the on-going support, installation, and maintenance of the Tyler Technologies MUNIS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for Finance, Payroll, Human Resources and Community Development (EnerGov). Assists other Departments with configuring and migrating to updated ERP solutions. This position will serve as a member of the project teams for the implementation and support of all enterprise applications.
Most the City's enterprise systems are running on a version of Microsoft SQL Server. The majority of enterprise reporting utilizes SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Crystal Reports.
In addition to the Tyler MUNIS ERP, the ERP Applications Analyst will work with City staff and City IT to support the service catalog of all existing enterprise applications across all City business units (Examples of applications are Vermont Systems RecTrac/WebTrac, Laserfiche Document Management, etc.).
Responsible for maintaining vendor support and coordinating support escalation procedures for City and IT Staff.
Administer the roles, permissions, security, user settings, and other authentication systems in all enterprise application software.
Understand and support the complex configuration in the system for Human Resources' position control, employee master, and all other HR related modules including but not limited to Employee Self-Service.
Work with business units to define and maintain application security and workflow.
Assist and serve as the IT point person for defining and writing SSRS and Crystal reports (some complex) for use by end users, governmental reporting, performance measurement and various internal informational needs.
This position will write and maintain departmental reports as requested. This includes extracting and pulling data from various application databases, performing complex analysis, and providing advanced reporting support.
This work is usually performed through a variety of tools like Crystal Reports, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Reporting Services, and application based interfaces. A strong understanding of SQL for data querying and data manipulation is needed for this position.
Position will work with vendors to provide data for conversions.
Provides hands-on support (applying patches, routine maintenance, and upgrades) and troubleshooting (error tracking and resolution) of applications to preserve and continuously improve the stability and availability of these systems. This requires the understanding of information technology infrastructure components like databases, networks, workstations, servers, firewalls, cloud computing
Coordinates technical infrastructure requirements with other IT staff to optimize network and database operations.
Works with IT Staff and vendors to maintain optimization of database operations and business continuity (disaster recovery). Conducts and assists with system and recovery testing to ensure system integrity. Coordinates all enterprise application installs, patches, upgrades, and lifecycles with IT Staff and with stakeholder groups. Coordinates regular maintenance activities to keep servers and systems up-to-date and secure.
Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment with a high level of accountability.
Works with City Staff and vendors to architect and coordinate interfaces between City enterprise applications when necessary.
Assists with analyzing and understanding City business processes and workflows to align and translate process and workflows with specific application best practice.
Develops and maintains application documentation and may assist with training materials.
May assist Application Support Specialist with user training when necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the IT Director.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain a City application service catalog.
Interact with City Staff at all levels to assess and support enterprise applications.
Participate in annual IT budgeting and planning related to applications and their infrastructure.
Partner and collaborate with other municipal and government agencies to assess application best practices.
Remain active and engaged in local and national application user and focus groups.
Supervise and coordinate pertinent vendor contracts and agreements.
· Maintain a strategic plan for all application lifecycles.
