Applications Support Technician provides technical support to the team responsible for a subset of business systems applications. Provides assistance in one or all areas of applications programming that includes testing, design and analysis. Being an Applications Support Technician assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications. Typically requires an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Applications Support Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Applications Support Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Reporting to the Dotwell Chief Information Officer, the Manager of Applications Support is responsible for planning, development, enhancement and daily activity of a team of application specialist that support all of the major Clinical and Business Applications and Reporting Databases primarily for Codman Square Health Center with secondary support for DotHosue Health.
The Manager will work closely with clinical and operations leadership & staff, technical professionals, and external partners to understand information needs and how existing or new systems can support those needs. The Manger will oversee and managed the daily functions and projects of the Applications and Data Analyst Teams. In addition (s)he will create opportunities for training, development and advancement for team members. This position will work closely with the CIO, the Manager of Technical Operations and key business stakeholders to complete objectives. This position reports the DotWell CIO and serves Codman Square Health Center with collaboration with his/her peer at DotHouse Health.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills required. (s)He should be a quick learner, with effective problem solving skills, able to find solutions to new and complex issues. Candidate must demonstrate strong project management skills working with multidisciplinary teams.
(S)He should be results oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and issues. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment across multiple clinical and business units. Experience working with external vendors. Good working knowledge of common office equipment, such as printers, fax machines, and projectors. Candidate must have 5 years managing healthcare information systems team
