Applications Programming Supervisor supervises the teams and daily activities needed for the analysis, testing, coding, and implementation of applications. Monitors operational metrics and processes and implements standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Being an Applications Programming Supervisor supports multiple development projects with scheduling, planning, and resource allocation. Conducts feedback processes, including peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Additionally, Applications Programming Supervisor fosters a performance culture using individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. May supervise vendors or off-shore resources. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Applications Programming Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Applications Programming Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Description:

    Job Summary: The Applications Coordinator supports position specific work assignments related only to the Medical Services Reimbursement Department and to the JPS Networks’ Professional and Outside Provider Claims Processing Application system. The Applications Coordinator communicates daily with Professional Providers and Internal Department Customers to update and maintain the application while providing direction and troubleshooting reports.

    Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:

    Analyzes requests for support/enhancements that require system changes and recommends appropriate solutions.

    Coordinates the implementation of new system features and capabilities.

    Keep abreast of vendor upgrades, enhancements and offerings and partners with customers to implement as appropriate.

    Provides application documentation for support and training.

    Provides appropriate support for maintaining reimbursement parameters within the Claims Application.

    Follows departmental procedures for status reports, system security, ticket, change, root cause analysis and other service management.

    Follows department procedures for project management.

    Develops reports.

    Coordinate integration with other systems as appropriate such as daily Epic, Hospital Legacy System, patient demographic uploads.

    Provides backup to the IT Application Analyst responsible for the Claims Processing application.

    Qualifications:


    Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
    • 3 plus years of relevant technology systems and claims processing experience
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, Computer Science or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
    • Experience with claims adjudication software and MS Office applications.
