May manage outsourcing budgets, vendors, or off-shore resources. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Applications Programming Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     The purpose of the Manager, Analytics Technology - Applications position is to (1) own the management and evolution of our analytics applications ecosystem, (2) assess the usefulness of new analytics tools, applications, platforms and (3) enable analytical output delivery and integration throughout the enterprise.

    Outcomes and Activities:

    Own Analytics Applications

    • This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an assigned Southfield, Michigan office location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at a Southfield, Michigan office location if requested by the team member.
    • Maintain the roadmap for analytic application ecosystem
    • Assess the usefulness of new analytics tools, applications, platforms
    • Design and launch new, and evolve existing, analytics tools, applications, platforms
    • Maintain the health of existing SAS platforms used by the Analytics and Business Intelligence departments
    • Integrate analytical applications and platforms with other enterprise applications
    • Oversee administration of all aspects of SAS and other in-house platforms
    • Own the promotion of code from lower environments to production
    • Administer batch job schedules in enterprise production scheduler
    • Act as a subject matter expert and liaison between business and technical teams
    • Translate high level business goals into the tasks and technical specifications needed to accomplish the goal

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent experience
    • 5 years administering a SAS platform (SAS 9.4, SAS Viya) OR 5 years administering cloud-based/open-source analytics platforms
    • 5 years programming in SAS/SQL/Python/etc.
    • 5 years leading a team of administrators, engineers and/or programmers
    • Knowledge of job scheduling and scripting
    • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)

    Preferred:

    • Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
    • Experience with modern AI/ML operations
    • Experience with modern visualization tools
    • Experience developing, implementing, and/or monitoring statistical models, such as regressions, credit scoring algorithms, or behavioral scorecards
    • SAS Advanced Programmer certification
    • SAS Platform Administrator certification
    • Data warehouse design and development experience
    • Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL
    • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google Big Query, Azure Synapse

    Targeted Compensation: $130,000 - $173,000 an annual bonus plan

    This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
