    ROLE OVERVIEW

    The Programming Manager is a passionate and detail-oriented professional who is happiest creating top-notch guest experiences for Callaway Resort & Gardens (CRG) visitors, whether they are here for the day or staying with us overnight. This manager creates and oversees a calendar of activities, assuring there is always something happening at CRG and creating memorable experiences! This critical position ensures activities are scheduled efficiently, communicated effectively, and executed at excellence so guests' expectations are consistently exceeded.

    • Maintains exceptional cleanliness, efficiency, and safety standards, following and promoting company safety and security policies and procedures.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Solid track record. 3-4 years related experience in a resort/hospitality, event management, attractions, or similar guest experience role. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.

    Guest-focused & creative. Passion for delivering an excellent and imaginative guest experience.

    Detail-oriented. Ability to understand and communicate the big picture while delivering on the minutiae.

    Solid judgment. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    Highly organized. Develops systems to create and manage calendars.

    • Create, organize, and oversee Callaway Resort & Garden's guest activities, events, recreational, and shows calendar. This requires driving, compiling, and managing CRG's calendar of entertainment or educational programming (S'mores by the lake, Nature Talks, arts & crafts, etc.), Special Events (e.g. Celebrate Spring, Summer Family Adventure, Pumpkins, and Fantasy in Lights), recreational programming (e.g. beach activities, fishing, ziplining, biking, etc.), and shows (e.g. Birds of Prey).

    • Works closely with Resort & Gardens operations teams to ensure planned programming and activities are staffed and executed as planned.

    • As needed, schedules and hires third-party vendors through direct interviews or working with outside resources.

    • Assists in planning and preparation of annual Special Events.

    • Manages the project timelines for entertainment and educational programming and Special Events.

    • As needed, on-site coordination for entertainment and educational programming, Special Events, and activities driven by Marketing.

    • Serves as a guest experience communications hub between departments: Marketing, Operations including Recreation, and Resort. Communicates! Communicates! Communicates! Maintains the flow of information related to guest activities and Special Events within the organization.

    • Assures guest-facing communication vehicles such as website, app, and on-property tools are up-to-date.

    • Fosters a positive work environment and promotes teamwork.
