  • Duties

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

    • Serves as a subject matter expert in performing the full range of system development lifecycle activities, following both traditional and agile methodologies in order to deliver enterprise-wide software application solutions.
    • Provides in-house consulting on systems analysis, design, programming, deployment, integration, and post-production enhancement and issue resolution.
    • Communicates with end-users, project management, leadership, and stakeholders to define goals, collect requirements, design, and deploy Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for business problems, ensuring customer satisfaction, timeliness, budget adherence, and scope compliance.
    • Utilizes agile processes to develop, manage and support a variety of scalable web applications.
    • Formulates and applies complex queries to retrieve precise data, creates indexes, and other structures to enhance the performance of BI applications. Incorporates security controls in all developed systems and ensures appropriate levels of access for the target audience.
    • Participates in, and often lead new BI software evaluations, and take an active role in a team that implements new BI tools and applications.
    • Adheres to coding standards, including unit, integration, and acceptance testing, to ensure the quality and reliability of BI solutions.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering or related field plus five (5) years of professional experience in a Senior Developer role.

    In-depth knowledge of relational databases and SQL; subject matter expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and/or Microsoft T/SQL procedural database languages.

    Subject matter expertise in Oracle APEX; Web Socket API; Enterprise Java architecture, programming, testing, and deployment; experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery or ExtJS; and other Frameworks such as Oracle Virtual Private Directory (VPD); mobile applications development; .Net Framework and related technologies;

    Familiarity with implementing and enhancing Oracle Business Intelligence tools and applications; subject matter expert in designing and implementing custom cloud solutions that leverage various Office 365 services such as Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, SharePoint, Azure services

    Subject matter expertise in developing and enhancing business workflow systems with significant experience in building complex system interfaces, especially using web services and XML technologies.

Employees can carry over no more than 240 hours of annual leave into the next leave year.

      Sick Leave is used for personal medical needs, care of a family member, or adoption related purposes. Full-time employees earn four(4)hours of sick leave biweekly. This leave can be accrued without limit.

      In addition to the federal health plans, the DC Courts offer employees supplemental vision and dental plans as well as a commuter transit benefit subsidy, for a maximum of $150 a month. There are 26 pay periods in the year.
