Johnson County Library is seeking an Applications Administrator. This position is responsible for working with technical and subject matter experts to manage the Integrated Library System (ILS), a variety of systems and software that connect with it, and other enterprise Library applications. First review of applications will begin on May 31, 2023.
Leads and completes assignments which include resolving complex issues, major enhancements and changes; runs production support processes; ensures application availability while facilitating growth in usage and increased functionality; analyzes and reviews enhancements for compatibility; adheres to operating guidelines and performs integration testing; participates or leads all phases of a project development lifecycle.
Collaborates with internal and external customers, vendors, and other technology staff to ensure efficient use of organizational resources to achieve project objectives; establishes and reviews project management plans, schedules, resources, and critical paths; ensures resolutions are achieved while considering all viewpoints.
Responds to end-user questions and requests for input; works directly with end-users in evaluating solutions, fulfilling requests, and resolving issues; provides training assistance for users. Monitors and recommends solutions to ensure system availability and performance; analyzes system capacity and modifies the system and procedures to solve resource issues; investigates new technology, product changes, and customer requirements; presents information to management and technical leads; collaborates with cross functional teams to maintain efficiency, consistency and achieve successful use of application(s).
Ensures application data is accurate, current, and complete through quality assurance procedures; develops new, and enhances existing workflows through various techniques such as process automation; monitors application for compliance to organization standards and policies.
Works closely with application development teammates and vendors to tune and troubleshoot issues; plans and coordinates testing changes, upgrades, patches, new releases and new services ensuring system(s) will operate correctly in current and future environments; develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs and configurations.
Develops work plans and tracks/reports status of assigned projects/tasks. Develops and maintains the reporting, documentation, and dashboard infrastructure for the ILS and related systems.

Minimum Job Requirements
An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or other relevant field of study and five (5) years of information technology in a lead role or relevant experience are required.
OR
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or other relevant field of study and three (3) years of information technology in a lead role or relevant experience are required.
Experience may be substituted for education. Education may be substituted for experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Professional Experience: Working knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Teams, MFA, ITSM ticketing software, account management, cybersecurity best practices, application programming interfaces (APIs) and project management.
Desired Application Experience: SirsiDynix Symphony Integrated Library System, library materials handling systems, payment card systems, Library-focused applications, and web content management solutions.
