Additionally, Applications Programmer produces application documentation, including process and data flow diagrams. Provides support for implementing, enhancing, integrating, and maintaining applications. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Applications Programmer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • Flooring & Accessories, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated person to be a Computer-Aided Design Programmer. This person will be responsible for taking 2-dimensional template drawings and programming for various CNC machines within our warehouse. Each program will require tooling, cut paths, and optimization of material. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and CAD experience. 
     
    Responsibilities: 
    • Reviewing drawings from field measure crews.
    • Generate CAD drawings required to operate the department’s CNC machines, including generating program file(s) for the product.
    • Facilitate the efficient and complete creation of final jobs for submission to manufacturing.
    • Proficiency in stone layout and understanding the unique characteristics of the 1000 variations of materials.
    • Communicate well with team members in meeting critical customer deadlines efficiently while maximizing material usage and minimizing waste.
    • Ability to work autonomously and manage workflow in a dynamic work environment.
    • Confident in providing excellent customer service during one-on-one customer appointment layouts.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.   
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
     
    Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent, continuing education/technical training in CNC programming and CNC machining may be applicable.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • Ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Highly organized multi-tasker with critical attention to detail.
    • Willingness to take direction and adapt to dynamic processes and protocols with a cooperative attitude.
    • Must have a computer and basic math skills.
    • Self-motivated and resourceful problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
