Conducts detailed analysis of functional and technical requirements needed to create specifications. Being an Applications Programmer utilizes programming, scripting, or database language to produce efficient code. Performs unit testing of applications. Additionally, Applications Programmer produces application documentation, including process and data flow diagrams. Provides support for implementing, enhancing, integrating, and maintaining applications. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Applications Programmer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. JOB SUMMARY
The Applications Analyst 2 - Clinical works under the supervision of the Manager IT Applications. The Applications Analyst 2 - Clinical coordinates the development and maintenance of Meditech and various other applications. Constantly looking for workflow improvements and efficiency gains for organization staff. Manages and helps implement requests for system changes on all assigned modules or applications. Participates in developing and improving operational workflow and processes in assigned areas. Assists in discovering and implementing new technologies to improve patient care, finances, or efficiency within the hospital. Assists the organization in developing necessary reporting procedures for clinical, financial, quality, and information transparency.
