    • Responsible for delivery of project management methodologies, tools and metrics as well as providing Project Management expertise in support of the Enterprise Applications strategies and projects.
    • Provides the portfolio management tools that provide up-to-date project status for implementations, upgrades, and other maintenance activities.
    • Oversees application development for the Business Affairs Auxiliary Services Department which consists of Parking and Transportation, Student Unions, and the Bookstore.
    • Provides the cultural environment to develop, deliver and drive improvements in new capabilities, standards, and ways of working in the organizations.
    • Oversees the establishment of enterprise data warehouse solutions that deliver reporting and analytic capabilities to the three departments.
    • Monitors procedures to ensure that, for potential information technology projects of any size, a comparison is made of internal development versus purchase.
    • Assists in the design of application architectures to closely integrate with UAccess, Bursars Office, and other University systems and that will adeptly meet the varied application needs of the department.
    • Investigates and recommends application development technologies that will continue to improve the quality and efficiency of our development.
    • Works with the Director of Information Technology to define, implement, and enforce development standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Assists the senior leadership team with resource management and recommend adjustments in projects to meet project objectives and to yield greater efficiencies.
    • Directs, manages, and develops a diverse technical staff to ensure a stable and well-trained applications development group.
    • Works with departmental and IT stakeholders to identify, communicate and resolve resource allocation, scope, schedule, and/or budget conflicts.
    • Responsible for ensuring services from third parties or key partners meet or exceed the departments delivery requirements and standards.
    • As a member of the senior IT leadership team, works collaboratively to support and improve business performance and capabilities and to ensure we fully leverage IT investments.
    • Set expectations, mentor, and develop staff, and create a proactive team environment for quickly and effectively developing applications that satisfy the business objectives of the department.
    • Ensures issues are effectively articulated, communicated, and escalated to alleviate IT delivery or budget issues.
    • Manages recruitment, retention, and development of key IT talent.
    • Drives a culture of project management excellence.
    • Leads internal team dedicated to the review and prioritization of Information Technology projects.
    • Fully participates in BAAS-IT team meetings to foster an overall understanding of the score and critical nature of all projects and duties within the IT team.
    • Conducts periodic performance evaluations and holds staff accountable for realistic, but challenging job expectations.
    • Actively participates in long-range strategy planning.
    • Actively grows and diversifies technical skill sets of each staff member.
    • Identifies the emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the college.
