Annuity Services Director directs and oversees all aspects of the annuity customer service program. Provides leadership on the administration of annuity products including distribution, asset transfers, death claim approvals to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Being an Annuity Services Director maintains appropriate staffing to ensure high-level quality service and ensures hired staff has the education necessary and is provided the appropriate training to keep up-to-date on regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Annuity Services Director typically reports to top management. Typically requires passing Series 6 (IR) , 26 (IP), and 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) qualifying exams.     We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to join our team. As an Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external teams. This role will collaborate with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to collect, analyze, and interpret data to improve policy holder experience; as well as identifying areas of improvement relative to day-to-day operations. Your insights and recommendations will play a critical role in streamlining operations, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing overall business performance.

    This position requires a strong understanding of how technology impacts the insurance industry. The Operations Analyst should have a working knowledge of insurance operations including, new business processing, agent licensing & appointment, commission processing and post issue policy service. The person in this position should be able to give input into and follow applicable business processes and procedures in order to maintain compliance with daily insurance operations.
    Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for overseeing that customer and management expectations are met or exceeded, relative to day-to-day insurance policy service.
      • “Customer” refers to policyholders, agents, representatives, marketing organizations and internal customers.
    • Aid in the monitoring of service levels established for the TPA regarding all policy related services.
    • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to interact with other teams and individuals to make business recommendations.
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners to find and implement improvements (cost, time to deliver and quality) to existing processes.
    • Tasks associated with our third-party vendors include changes and annual compliance reviews (Hexure, EBIX).
    • Contribute to the report and audit of key metrics, as well as to the automation of reporting and executive dashboards.
    • Work closely with channel specialists (Sales/Marketing), to support marketing campaigns and Distribution management. Familiarity with SalesForce.com or similar CRM solutions.
    • Participate in the update and creation of service forms and policy assembly instructions as we add additional products.
    • Agent & Client Portals
      • Collaborate with staff to design enhancements to allow for the portal’s accessibility, ease of use, provide additional information and streamline current processes.
      • User Acceptance Testing for releases.
    • Other duties as needed or required.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
    • 4 years’ experience working with independent sales organizations.
    • 4 years’ experience working with insurance processes.
    • Experience with state insurance producer appointment process
    • Experience with direct customer interaction.
    • Experience managing and working in cross-functional teams including external partners.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to break down complex problems into manageable components.
    • Strong business acumen especially in the annuity business.
    • Working knowledge of insurance or other sales hierarchy structures.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro.
    • Demonstrated ability to consistently set stretch goals and hit targets.
    • Ability to analyze complex information and reach reasonable conclusions.
    • Assess and manage risks quickly and efficiently.
    • Think independently and strategically.

    Pay and Benefits

    Pay range: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour. Salary is determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity.

    Discretionary annual bonuses, when paid, are based principally on the evaluations of job performance by those to whom you report. Year-end bonus amounts are subject to change based on individual and company performance – although there is no guaranteed minimum for the year-end discretionary bonus.
