Annuities Retention Specialist coordinates with service representatives and clients to assist with retaining the client's annuity business. Provides knowledge and expertise to clients in order to meet their financial goals and to clearly understand various options that are available with annuities. Being an Annuities Retention Specialist reviews surrender requests and contacts clients to re-engage and identify opportunities for additional sales. Makes recommendations to product line management to improve service and design of products that encourage client retention. Additionally, Annuities Retention Specialist requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Annuities Retention Specialist contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     • Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral communication skills required.
    Position Description (primary functions):
    • Provides tutorial services in the areas of remedial reading and writing, mathematics, natural and social sciences.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Maintains and upkeeps software and modules in the tutorial lab.
    • Assists students in navigating tutorial software.
    • Acts as a liaison between full-time and adjunct instructors, athletic personnel, and students and works under the instructor’s direction, if necessary, to assist students.
    • Provides academic assistance to assigned students either in a group or individually.
    • Maintains records on each student being tutored and reports progress to the director and referring instructor.
    • Helps students to develop a positive attitude towards learning and studying.
    • Helps students develop self-confidence and reduce anxiety or fear of failure in academic work.
    • Assists students in achieving a better understanding of specific subject material and in improving academic capabilities in designated areas.
    • Helps students develop the study skills necessary for academic success.
    • Assists in the coordination of data collection and assessment for reporting to appropriate offices.
    • Assists in maintaining retention data, institutional effectiveness data, and all other IE processes in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
    • Facilitates and develops all components of the Coahoma Male Program.
    • Serves on department and campus committees and accepts committee assignments.
    • Participates in campus activities and programs.
    • Performs other duties set forth by the Director of Student Engagement, and the Director of Research, Assessment and Strategic Initiatives.
