Customer Account Representative
General Description
The Customer Account Representative (CAR) performs a wide variety of tasks but generally serves as a liaison between customers, sales and service department. The CAR must be highly organized and be a self‐starter. They must also have excellent clerical skills for completing routine tasks as well as good interpersonal skills for communicating with numerous people both internal and external to the company.
Primary Responsibilities
Process sales packets, set up customer, equipment and contract records into the system
Perform daily actions such as billing audits, review pending contracts and check sales inventory status
Generate monthly meter billing reports and gather meter readings from customers before preparing contracts for invoicing
Generate monthly contract renewal reports, calculate new rates and submit for approval before inputting into the computer system
Process other reports such as commission, territory, trade‐in and vendor program credits
Answer phone calls and customer questions regarding equipment, service, supplies and billing
Help resolve billing problems and make corrections as needed
Fill out input sheets monthly which document changes to the contract billing system
Handle filing and document storage of all sales and contract agreements from the sales and service department
Other duties upon request
Experience Requirements
One‐year Microsoft Windows experience
One‐year clerical experience
Demonstrated proficiency in Word and Excel
Job Specifications
Good written, verbal and listening skills
Good basic math skills
Other Requirements
Ability to work for long periods at a time sitting/standing at a desk using a computer monitor, keyboard and telephone, up to eight hours a day as required
Possess clear vision and hearing with corrective means if required
Ability to travel overnight on occasion for training if necessary
