DEFINITION:
The Posting Representative is responsible for timely, accurate and appropriate posting of accounts receivable reimbursement, return checks, and adjustments to patient accounts by means of the computer system.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have 2 years of general office experience.
Medical terminology helpful.
Accounting course work helpful. Type 50 words per minute and 10-key calculator.
Basic keyboard and mouse. Experience in Microsoft office.
Good organizational skills, reading, writing and proven communication skills.
One year of hospital/medical office billing and collections or can demonstrate an understanding of hospital billing and collections.
Experience handling money in large quantities.
College course in clerical management is desired.
Course work in accounting is helpful.
