Position: Director of Annual Giving, Brattleboro Music Center (BMC)
Employment Type: Part-time (25- 30 hours per week) full-year position with no supervisory responsibilities. Salary range: $35,000 - $45,000 per year depending on hours and experience. Flexible schedule, weekend or evening hours may occasionally be required with the option to combine remote and office hours.

Position Overview: The Brattleboro Music Center seeks an energetic and personable development professional to serve as our Director of Annual Giving. This person will report to the Executive Director and will focus on building a year-round fundraising plan for the BMC. The plan will include strategies that build and engage our donor base while meeting the organization’s financial goals.
This person will steward our annual fund donors by assuring timely gift acknowledgments, accurate and engaging communications, and donor recognition. In addition, this individual will identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with established and potential donors, securing gifts for the Annual Fund as well as identifying potential future special campaigns and planned giving prospects.
Desired Qualifications
· Three to five years of relevant experience in, ideally, an arts-focused non-profit organization in annual giving, advancement services, development, communications, or a related position.
· Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach.
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing.
· Willingness to be part of a collaborative environment and work closely with colleagues and volunteers.
· Strong professional ethics and practices and respect for the confidentiality of donor information.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Positive attitude, flexible approach, and willingness to engage with and build on BMC’s culture of philanthropy.
