Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Weekend Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our furry friends. This position requires a strong love for animals and the ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Hours include Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning and afternoon.

Duties:
- Provide daily care and attention to dogs in our kennel facility
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of kennels and common areas
- Feed, water, and administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Walk and exercise dogs regularly to promote their physical and mental well-being
- Monitor the behavior and health of dogs, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trims
- Maintain accurate records of each dog's activities, meals, medications, and health observations
- Assist with basic training exercises to reinforce positive behaviors

Skills:
- Previous experience working in a kennel or animal care setting is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of dog handling techniques and understanding of canine behavior preferred
- Ability to safely restrain animals when necessary
- Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus
- Physical stamina to handle dogs of various sizes and lift heavy objects if required

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
