    Summary of the group:  Members of the Purification Process Sciences group within Biopharmaceutical Development work closely with other groups in R&D, with Manufacturing Sciences, and Global Technical Operations to develop and transfer clinical and commercial purification and conjugation processes.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • This position is a laboratory-based role, the main responsibility will be the development of conjugation and purification processes for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
      • Design, execute, analyze conjugation studies and purification studies to develop and optimize processes for the manufacturing of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs)
      • Support process scale-up and tech transfer activities to manufacturing sites
      • Author reports and contribute to regulatory documents
      • Develop and evaluate novel technologies
      • Collaborate with cross-functional groups in Research and Development in order to meet project timelines and company goals
      • Present results at internal meetings

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    Education

    BS or MS degree in Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related field.

    Experience: BS and 5 yrs experience OR MS and 2 yrs experience

    Required Skills

    • Experience working with proteins, protein purification, including chromatography, filtration, tangential flow filtration
    • Experience operating LC/HPLC systems such as AKTA Avant and Agilent HPLC
    • Good understanding of protein biochemistry, protein characterization, and analytical techniques
    • High critical thinking skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work effectively as a member of cross-functional teams
    • Very good oral and written communication skills

    Desired Skills

    • Experience with protein conjugation
    • Experience with statistical design of experiments
