Anesthesia Technician assists Anesthesiologist by setting-up equipment and preparing medications. Orders, stocks, tests, and maintains anesthesia supplies, medications, and equipment. Being an Anesthesia Technician washes and sterilizes re-usable equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel. Performs safety checks on anesthesia equipment and assists the Anesthesiologist as needed. Additionally, Anesthesia Technician may also be required to complete Anesthesia Technician trainee program. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Anesthesia Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be an Anesthesia Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)
Work Schedule: Will be from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday 15-minute personal break times are allowed (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), and a 30- minute lunch break during the 8-hour clinic day.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Must be from an accredited college/university.
License/Registration: The contractor employees shall have a current valid unrestricted Pharmacy Technician certification from anyone of the United States, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
Experience: The contractor employees shall have a minimum of 3 or more years of pharmacy services in a hospital department of pharmacy setting, ambulatory health clinic, medical rehabilitation facilities, commercial/retail drug store, such as Walgreens, CVS, etc.
Motor Vehicle Operator's License: Candidate will not operate in any Government-Owned vehicles If required to provide health care services, they are allowed only as passengers in the Government-Owned Vehicle driven by a federal employee.
Certifications: Shall have a current certificate for Basic Life Support (BLS)
