Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Ambulatory Services Director ensures non-emergency care clinics operate within budget and in accordance with performance standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Ambulatory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     We are looking for Manager, Pharmacy Services to join our team at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in Yakima, WA.

    Position Summary
    The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the department or functional service area. Primary responsibilities include medication distribution processes, control substance management, regulatory readiness, USP.797/800 compliance, medication security and storage, budget compliance, and personnel management including hiring and competency assessment. This is a managerial position providing direction to supervisory, professional, and technical staff.

    Requirements

    • Registered and licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
    • Completion of an Advanced Degree (MS or Pharm D. preferred)
    • 3 years in pharmacy managerial, supervisory or lead capacity
    • Acute Care
    • Completion of an ASHP accredited (or first year program pending accreditation) pharmacy residency program
    • 5 years hospital pharmacy experience in professional or technical role/function
