Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, the Assistant Director Ambulatory Surgical Services will oversee PACU and Same Day Surgery (SDS). This person will perform clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced department with state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive medical and support staff. The Assistant Director will be supported by a team of outstanding CNOR certified nurses that include 1 nurse supervisor, 2 Charge Nurses and 60 Staff RNs.
The Assistant Director's responsibilities will include developing and supporting educational initiatives, serving as a mentor to new leaders, and being a champion for quality improvement throughout the department. The Assistant Director will also take on administrative duties in the department, including oversight and maintenance of the budget, recruitment and retention of staff, and this person will oversee operations.
