Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Residential Services will report directly to the Senior Director of Residential Services, overseeing the operational aspects of our residential care program. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with licensure and quality assurance requirements, monitoring paperwork, conducting staff training, and providing support to residential staff. The Director will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of care and service delivery.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure compliance with all Sertoma Center, Inc. Personnel Policies and Procedures, as well as standards set forth by Licensure, Quality Enhancement, Medicaid Waiver, and regulatory agencies.
· Coordinate, facilitate, document, and participate in all required meetings, including staff meetings, house meetings, and incident management meetings.
· Monitor and complete all paperwork requirements in a timely manner.
· Assist in communication between residential staff, management, and other departments within the organization.
· Provide training and support to direct support staff on household responsibilities, management, licensure requirements, and safety protocols.
· Conduct unannounced visits and inspections as assigned.
· Cultivate a positive work environment and ensure adherence to organizational culture and values.
· Review residential timesheets, daily notes, and documentation of home visits.
· Hold regular meetings with Residential Coordinators and Community Living Managers.
· Be available on-call for all residential emergencies and provide support as needed.
· Oversee residential purchases and approve expenditures.
· Review new employee training records and ensure compliance with required training.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Qualifications / Employment Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Special Education, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
· Minimum of 2 years college coursework plus 4 years of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals, or equivalent.
· Supervisory experience preferred, preferably in a residential setting.
· Knowledge of quality control processes and office management.
· Valid TN driver's license and good driving record.
· Ability to sit, stand, and lift heavy objects as required.
