Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Ambulatory Services Director ensures non-emergency care clinics operate within budget and in accordance with performance standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Ambulatory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Pharmacy Technician II, Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy Services, Westchester

  • JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides technical support at the Westchester Infusion Suite and Neurology locations, and operational support to the clinic infusion nursing staff to ensure patients receive safe and timely pharmacy services.  Primary responsibilities include:  

    1. Infusion preparation with remote pharmacist verification and checking.
    2. Inventory management and ordering of high-cost specialty infusion drugs.
    3. Inventory management of non-pharmacy supplied infusion inventory, including clear-bagged, white-bagged, and PAP medications obtained through manufacturer patient assistance programs.
    4. Assisting the MAC team as needed with infusion benefits investigations and prior authorizations.

    How You’ll Impact Patient Care:

    Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

    • Helps pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to make sure patients and departments get the right medications on time and are charged correctly.
    • Works well with others and organizes daily tasks for maximum efficiency.
    • Helps keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available.
    • Offers pharmacy services in patient care areas.
    • Takes part in team efforts to improve quality and supports the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles.
    • Keeps knowledge and skills up to date and helps educate others.
    • Sets personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives.
    • Follows hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork.
    • Provides care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.

    What You Will Need

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.
    • North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.
    • Sterile compounding experience required. 

    Nice To Have (Not Required)

    • Successful completion of a formal technician training program preferred.
    • One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
    • Associate degree in a healthcare or business-related field preferred.
