Ambulatory Services Director jobs in Hawaii

Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Ambulatory Services Director ensures non-emergency care clinics operate within budget and in accordance with performance standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Ambulatory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Candidates must be Board Certified or Eligible, Hawaii licensed or eligible, and meet the hospitals medical staff credentialing standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and collaborate with diverse and growing physician and clinic teams
    • Maintain a 50/50 split of clinical and administrative duties to ensure high-quality patient experience, care and outcomes
    • Foster a family-friendly environment that aligns with our mission and values
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within outpatient services
    • Develop and lead high-quality, community-based care programs
    • Collaborate with a highly respected physician and provider network to deliver whole person, coordinated care
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
    • Travel to assigned clinics, and system office as necessary
    • Other duties as needed

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Five years experience practicing as a clinician
    • Demonstrated leadership experience and skills

    Base Compensation Starts at $260,000 per year
