Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Ambulatory Services Director ensures non-emergency care clinics operate within budget and in accordance with performance standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Ambulatory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Summary:

    Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, mammography services provided at the ambulatory sites. . Responsible for all operations related to breast imaging at twelve community based sites including daily coverage, daily operations, and accreditations related to breast imaging including mammography, ultrasound and MRI. Monitors the care that is provided by staff related to customer service. Responsible for quality management of imaging and providing review and guidance to all staff as it relates to requirements set for by standards and accrediting bodies. Responsible to monitor all maintenance, and quality assurance of equipment. Assures that all supplies are ordered and reviews supplies regularly in relation to the budget. Monitors and completes all FDA / MQSA. Participates in the NAPBC accreditation for Breast Services.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. Formal Education Required:
    a. Registration in Mammography through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
    b. Radiographers license through the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).
    c. Certificate from an A.M.A. School of Radiologic Technology
    d. Bachelors in Business or Healthcare related field preferred

    2. Experience & Training Required:
    a. Five (5) years full-time experience as a Mammography Technologist
    b. Has led and Completed multiple FDA/MQSA inspections for Mammography
    c. Full knowledge of accreditation requirements for Mammography
    d. One (1) year experience in a leadership role related to the mammography field

    3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
    a. Proficient with PACS archiving; Mammography EMR; High Risk Assessments
    b. Strong communication, leadership, organization and interpersonal skills
    c. Familiarity with OSHA and Hospital infection control policies
    d. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
    e. Ability to work within a team environment
    f. Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills needed to maintain constructive working relationships.
    g. Technical skills are required to adapt equipment to patient needs and troubleshoot equipment
    h. Analytical skills are required to effectively meet the needs of patients, families, and members of the healthcare team on a regular basis.
    i. Intermediate desktop computer skills required to communicate electronically, worksheets related to accreditations and requests, clinical information management systems.

    4. Level of Physical Demands:
    a. Light: Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously.
    b. Regular movement around the hospital campuses, moving equipment and supplies.
    c. Assumption of patient care responsibilities, including, moving patients safely.

    $38.30/hr - $45.96/hr
