Ambulatory Services Director directs the staff and programs of the ambulatory services department. Oversees, administers, and coordinates all activities and operations of the ambulatory services for the health care facility, including outpatient clinics, outpatient surgery, and urgent care centers. Being an Ambulatory Services Director develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for ambulatory services and programs. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. Additionally, Ambulatory Services Director ensures non-emergency care clinics operate within budget and in accordance with performance standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Ambulatory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. We are currently seeking applicants for a full time Assistant Director of Laundry Services that will be r esponsible for the proper operation of two geographically separated laundry facilities to include personnel management, maintaining equipment in peak, operating condition, and quality control of all processed/delivered linen. Ensures compliance with contract specifications, corporate procedures, and all other regulations. Streamline operations and work schedules to grow laundry’s customer base.

    Applicants must have the ability to work Monday - Saturday 8:00AM - 4:30PM.



    WORK ENVIRONMENT:


    The work is performed in an industrial setting and at times in an office environment. Must be able to tolerate a work environment that is prone to high and low temperature fluctuations, dust/lint.



    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


    1. Oversee all aspects of two commercial laundry facilities.

    2. Developing and implementing procedures and work instruction geared toward operating efficiently and cost effectively.

    3. Maintaining production quotas and quality standards

    4. Tracking financial performance and managing expenditure.

    5. Instituting appropriate safety practices and reporting procedures.

    6. Act as liaison with Operations Manager to ensure contract requirements are consistently met while simultaneously meeting customer expectations.

    7. Act as liaison with Engineer to ensure safe operation and upkeep of all production equipment and facilities.

    8. Ensure positive customer relations by:

    • Being knowledgeable about individual customers’ contract specifications.

    • Resolving customer concerns in a timely manner.

    • Meeting face to face with customers when needed.

    9. Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure program compliance with Eggleston policies and regulatory requirements of contractual agreements, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), HLAC, DMHRSAS, CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), etc.

    10. Work as part of a team with other staff to support rehabilitation services provided to individuals with disabilities.

    11. Performs other duties as assigned.



    QUALIFICATIONS
    :


    Bachelor’s degree in management or related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience, preferably laundry operations with large scale in management or commercial field or equivalent. Must have experience working with people with disabilities. Clearance through criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug testing is required.



    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


    Free of tuberculosis in a communicable form. Must possess full range of motion to conduct site inspections for cleanliness and could involve bending, stooping, reaching, or lifting. Dexterity, vision, and hearing are sufficient to operate a computer and other equipment.



    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


    • Proficient use of a computer to include a strong grasp of Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as HLAC, OSHA, JCAHO; DOL (Department of Labor), DARS, DMHMRSAS, DBHDS.

    • Knowledge of efficient production, quality control, customer service and standards and practices.

    • Knowledge of Organizational Policies and Procedures.

    • Knowledge of operation of laundry and industrial equipment and experience in maintaining/repairing equipment is a strong plus.

    • Skill in Leadership and Management, Conflict resolution and negotiations, and communicating effectively orally and in writing.

    • Skill in organizing, managing, prioritizing multiple tasks, and to meet the standards set for the quality and timeliness of work.

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some evenings and weekends.

    • Ability to utilize critical thinking process to facilitate decision-making and to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

    • Ability to develop procedures and work instructions.

    • Ability to work independently with no direct supervision.
