MMT Ambulance is seeking a dedicated Ambulance Fleet Porter to assist our fleet department in the efficient movement and organization of ambulances. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that ambulances are properly positioned, fueled, and maintained to support our emergency medical services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

• Move ambulances within the company to optimize fleet resources for operational needs.
• Assist in the occasional loading and unloading of equipment and supplies onto ambulances as needed for fleet purposes.
• Conduct regular inspections of ambulances to ensure they are clean, stocked, and in proper working condition.
• Refuel ambulances and perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
• Coordinate with the fleet manager to prioritize vehicle movement based on operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, fuel usage, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate activities and address any issues that arise.
• Assist in other duties within the fleet department as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a fleet or transportation environment.
• Ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently, including backing up and maneuvering in tight spaces.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in outdoor environments and inclement weather conditions.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance tasks is a plus.
