    The Foster School of Business has an exciting opening for an Assistant Director for Alumni Engagement. This is a full-time permanent position.

    The Assistant Director’s primary focus will be the profound engagement of Foster School alumni through outreach, conversation, storytelling and targeted events. They will also conduct outreach to the student population in order to build affinity with the School’s future alumni base.

    What You Will Do:

    Alumni & Student Engagement (50%)

    • Work with the School’s alumni engagement team to design, execute and evaluate engagement opportunities that promote the Foster School and showcase the talents and contributions of alumni and faculty.
    • Partner with the Associate Dean of Inclusion and Diversity to build community within the many diverse populations of alumni and students.
    • Respond to and track alumni queries regarding interest in volunteering with the School.
    • Assist with Foster's Advancement events as needed, including event execution, vendor coordination and promotion.

    Strategy, Planning and Measurement (20%)

    • Work with the School’s Senior Director of Alumni Engagement to develop an annual alumni engagement plan.
    • Measure and evaluate alumni programming and communications efforts through surveys, focus groups, analyzing CRM data, and digital communications analytics.

    Digital Communications (20%)

    • Maintain the school's online MBA directory, ensuring an active network for the school's alumni.
    • Build and send e-communications targeted to Foster alumni, adhering to brand requirements and digital communications best practices.

    Other duties as assigned (10%)

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor’s degree AND five years of experience in community engagement, public relations or related industry.

    Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

    • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituents.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with a broad range of technology and systems.
    • Reliable transportation for local travel.
    • Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally for event setup and tear down.
