Airframe and Engine Mechanic, Sr. maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots aircraft components to ensure safe and reliable performance. Conducts routine servicing to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Airframe and Engine Mechanic, Sr. utilizes a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine malfunctioning parts of aircraft engines and assemblies. Follows company protocols to maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization within the hangar or workshop. Additionally, Airframe and Engine Mechanic, Sr. recommends part changes or adjustments to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Maintains accurate records of services and procedures performed and documents and reports issues, concerns, and unusual wear or damage of parts. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Airframe and Engine Mechanic, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. We are looking for a career-minded individual with a well-rounded background in automotive and heavy equipment diagnosis, service, and repair, and who is interested in a job with regular hours and incredible benefits.Typical responsibilities include servicing vehicles and equipment, including diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling a variety of mechanical systems such as gasoline and diesel engines, brake and clutch assemblies, transmissions and real axels, steering systems, and electronic controls. Mechanics use all standard garage tools, including grinders, welders, torches, and all manner of fabrication machinery and equipment.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk on uneven surfaces, sit, stoop, bend, use hands to keyboard or type, reach with hands and arms, lift up to 75 lbs. and occasionally assist in moving and/or lifting equipment. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to comprehend written work instructions and prepare and maintain written records. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities includes those which permit the employee to discern verbal instructions, alarm and warning systems, including backup alarms, and communicate effectively in person and by telephone. While performing duties the employee works in shop environment, including exposure to fuel, chemicals, grease and oil, and loud noises.Typical Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous mechanical experience, including maintenance and repair on a variety of vehicles and/or heavy equipment, and experience with a large variety of tools and garage equipment. Experience with both gas and diesel engines is preferred but not mandatory. Possession of a valid drivers license is required, and although not needed at the time of hire, possession of a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) would be expected within 1 year of hire.
