Aircraft Painter applies pre-mixed and blended paint or coating to interior and exterior of assembled aircraft or parts. Prepares surfaces for painting and protects painted surfaces from erosion. Being an Aircraft Painter requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Painter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Aircraft Painters are responsible for applying primers and paint on aircraft.
Touch ups, sand, and surface preparation.
5 years experience in body work and paint.
Knowledge of paint process and engineering, expertise, good communication abilities and attention to detail.
Composite aircraft experience a plus but not required
