Aircraft Mechanic Assistant maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots aircraft components to ensure safe and reliable performance. Conducts routine servicing to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Mechanic Assistant utilizes a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine malfunctioning parts of aircraft engines and assemblies. Follows company protocols to maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization within the hangar or workshop. Additionally, Aircraft Mechanic Assistant recommends part changes or adjustments to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Maintains accurate records of services and procedures performed and documents and reports issues, concerns, and unusual wear or damage of parts. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Aircraft Mechanic Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Your Education :
A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required. Avalid driver’s license approved for airline travel and / or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience :
Technician I : 0-2 years’ experience as an A P mechanic
Technician II : 2-5 years’ experience as an A P mechanic
Technician III : 5 years’ experience as an A P mechanic
Your Work Schedule :
Shift I- Monday-Friday 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm
Shift II- Monday-Thursday 3 : 00pm-1 : 00am
Weekends : Friday-Saturday 6am-6 : 30pm

Your Sense of Responsibility :
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.

Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

Supervision
Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations from very cold to very hot.
Work outside during aircraft runs will occur.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used
Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.
Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices.
Tugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment.
