Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance operations of aircraft airframes and engines to ensure safe and reliable performance. Oversees routine servicing and preventative maintenance to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor evaluates technical requirements to determine the tradeoffs between the repair versus the replacement of components and the effect on cost and safety. Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor informs and trains aircraft mechanics on current information from manufacturers and regulatory bodies. Coordinates and schedules inspections and follow-up tasks to ensure timely completion. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a manager. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Summary
The supervisor coordinates activities of employees engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial, industrial, and medical establishments by performing the following duties.
Job Duties
· Assign tasks to workers, and inspects completed work for conformance to standards
· Oversee floor and carpet care employees
· Issues supplies and equipment
· Resolves workers' problems or refers matters to Manager
· Performs duties of workers supervised
· Directly supervises 2 to 50 employees
· Assists in interviewing, hiring, and training employees
· Plans, assigns, and directs work
· Appraises employee performance
· Addresses customer complaints and resolves problems
Requirements
Two years experience with supervision. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Driver's License required. Reliable transportation to ensure consistent dependability required. Must be able to meet physical requirements of position. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen in accordance to contractual obligation. Day shift position with one off day due to having to work rotating weekend shifts.
