Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Manager evaluates aircraft data and technical documents and researches new technologies to identify areas to improve practices or processes. Develops internal policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with federal aviation regulations and safety standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Aircraft Maintenance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     A Day In The Life of an A&P Technician - Aircraft Mechanic

    The position you are applying for is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s; specifications and federal regulations. You should have a strong background in PT6 and Recip engine experience, with IA certification preferred.

     

    Essential Duties of The A&P Technician - Aircraft Mechanic

    • Perform aircraft maintenance and repairs in compliance with manufacturers; specifications and federal regulations.
    • Conduct engine and electrical diagnostics and repairs.
    • Perform airframe maintenance and repairs.
    • Demonstrate the ability to work in occasional cold weather conditions.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
    • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
    • Proficiency in the engine and electrical diagnostics and repairs.
    • Strong knowledge of airframe maintenance and repair procedures.
    • Experience working with PT6 and Recip engines.
    • IA certification is preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, either in 4x10 or 5x8 (to be determined).
    • Ability to adapt to occasional cold weather conditions.

    Nice-to-Have Skills:

    • Welding experience.
    • Sheetmetal expertise.
    • Fabric repair skills.
    • Proficiency in Garmin G1000 systems.
