Aircraft Maintenance Manager manages engineering tasks involving changes or alterations to designs or specifications of aircraft parts, modules, or systems to ensure calibration and safety. Implements procedures to guide the routine inspection of aircraft components to facilitate optimal and reliable functionality. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Manager oversees the scheduling and timely completion of repairs and maintenance ensuring budget adherence. Reviews documented issues and reports to determine repairability and evaluates recommendations for replacements, repairs, or modifications to ensure conformance with safety standards and performance requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Manager evaluates aircraft data and technical documents and researches new technologies to identify areas to improve practices or processes. Develops internal policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with federal aviation regulations and safety standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Aircraft Maintenance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Aircraft Maintenance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Functions:

    As a member of the team, Aircraft Detail Techs will develop skills to perform the following tasks:

    • Complete Exterior Cleaning
    • Complete Interior Detailing
    • Carpet Extraction
    • Brightwork Buff and Polish (Polishing Metal)
    • Application of Aircraft Exterior Coatings
    • Carry out other duties as assigned

    Although no experience is necessary, Aircraft Detail Tech applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for employment:

    • 18 years of age (or older)
    • Reliable transportation
    • Eligible to work in the United States
    • Background check required to obtain facility badge

    Physical Requirements:

    The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an Aircraft Detail Tech to successfully perform the essential job functions:

    • Ability to walk and move about freely on a frequent basis
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Ability to endure frequent stooping, leaning, squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling
    • Ability to work while lying on back
    • Ability to work with arms extended above shoulder level while operating equipment
    • Ability to work with vibratory equipment
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to work off the ground on a ladder or platform up to 20 feet tall
    • Ability to work in small, enclosed areas
