Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Production Supervisor - Manufacturing

  • RBC - Aircraft Products Inc. is searching for a motivated individual to supervise hourly individuals working on the production floor.

    Principal Responsibilities

    Directly supervises the hourly employees, plans and assigns work and schedules hours of work to assure production is completed on a timely basis and meets customer quality requirements.

    • Monitors production on a routine basis, determining if any changes in methods or procedures are necessary to increase efficiency and productivity.
    • Closely supervises production runs to determine that methods and tooling are accomplishing production and quality objectives are being met.
    • Reviews capacity planning versus production schedules to identify and address production bottlenecks.
    • Monitors condition of production equipment to make sure equipment is running optimally and if needed, coordinates with Maintenance or Engineering to make sure equipment is brought back to acceptable condition.
    • Inspects quality on a spot check basis to assure product conforms to print and quality expectations. Responsible for corrective actions in overseen area.
    • Resolves problems as they arise.
    • Interfaces with other disciplines, ie Quality, Engineering, Production Control, Maintenance via meetings as a participant or leader, etc to address issues in the plant.
    • Closely monitors earned hours, efficiencies and overtime.
    • Maintains a positive relationship with all employees and encourages teamwork within and outside department.
    • Monitors employee attendance and tardiness to minimize absenteeism.
    • Interviews and selects candidates for hire into the department.
    • Trains new hires and those newly assigned to their department in all relevant quality procedures and work instructions. Cross trains employees for most optimum and flexible production coverage.
    • Performs employee performance reviews to identify weaknesses and promote individual improvement.
    • Assures work area is kept in an orderly fashion.
    • Assures work area meets all environmental regulations and reports any discrepancies to Facility Manager.
    • Reports workplace injuries in a timely manner.
    • Monitors labor and time reporting via computer systems.
    • Reviews employee requests for vacation and approves or declines.
    • Recommends disciplinary action for all employees within direct responsibility.
    • Assure all employees adhere to safe work practices and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

    Qualifications

    Two years of technical schooling or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment or any combination of experience, education and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
