Aircraft Electrician jobs in Wisconsin

Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     The Position:

    We are looking for a current IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) member in good standing responsible for working as part of construction operations to install, repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment.

    Role and Responsibility:

    • Have the ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
    • Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments, both indoors and outdoors.
    • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, raceways, wiring and terminations.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    The Location:

    • The position will primarily be based out of southeastern WI.

    The Candidate:

    • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
    • High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
    • Must be punctual and dependable.
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and work in ditches.
    • Member of the appropriate trade union (IBEW).
    • Experience with NFPA-70e and hazard identification.
    • Ability to work alone or in a team.
