Aircraft Electrician jobs in Vancouver, WA

Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     What You'll Do: 

    • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential buildings, including wiring, lighting fixtures, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.  
    • Interpret and follow blueprints, electrical codes, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and compliance with safety regulations.  
    • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently 
    • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act 
    • Track repairs and work completed in trade software, Service Titan 
    • Engage with customer/client to inform them of issue, solution and outcome; recommend products and services for optimal system performance 

     

    What You'll Bring: 

    • 2 year of Electrical Service experience is preferred 
    • An outstanding work ethic with excellent customer service and communication skills 
    • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record 
    • Professionalism, you take pride in your work and your appearance 
    • Ability to handle heavy equipment and work outdoors. 
    • Willing to submit to and pass pre-employment background check and drug test

    Responsibilities

    What You Will Do: 

    • Diagnose and repair residential electrical systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions.
    • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring and lighting systems
    • Perform general electrical maintenance and read technical diagrams and blueprints
    • Inspect, diagnose and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures 
    • Inspect and perform corrective maintenance on circuit breakers and transformers
    • Follow national electrical code, and state and local building regulations
    • Track repairs and work completed in trade software, Service Titan
    • Engage with customer/client to inform them of issue, solution and outcome; recommend products and services for optimal system performance 

    Qualifications

    What You Will Bring: 

    • 2 year of Electrical Service experience is preferred.
    • Must pass Motor Vehicle, Background check and Drug Screen
    • Good work ethic and willingness to learn new methods.
    • Physical dexterity.
