Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Journeyman Electrician coordinates work with other Maintenance staff and Contractors. Works closely with production to continually improve safety, equipment productivity and performance.
Accountable for the upkeep and proper functionality of all electrical equipment and systems in the assigned facility. Success in this role will be demonstrated by the continued successful completion of assigned tasks with minimized equipment downtime.
