Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Calling all Electricians that want to work the day shift at FLEXcon in Spencer! The role entails following our PM program and troubleshooting equipment problems. In addition, there is some minimal travel expected to our off site facilities. This is a 5 day, hourly position working from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This position requires a broad knowledge of our equipment and controls. FLEXcon is a very clean facility with comprehensive benefits and a great group of team members to work with on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must remain in compliance with National Electrical Code and 70E.
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and disruptions to production.
Conduct electrical repairs and replacements of components, circuits, and wiring, following safety protocols and quality standards.
Collaborate with the engineering team to install, wire, and commission new electrical equipment and machinery.
Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed, supporting data-driven maintenance strategies.
Some work in a rated clean room is required.
Must pass drug test, physical, background check and reference check.
EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED or accreditation from a technical school or applicable trades program.
Electrical license required
2-4 Years of relevant experience
Experience with AC/DC drives
Advanced computer proficiency
Ability to operate lift equipment
Ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to use a multi-meter
Able to read, write, and follow standard operating procedures
Ability to read drawings, OEM manuals, and schematics to complete assignments.
Basic math skills including reading a ruler to measure fractions of an inch
