Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     Responsibilities

    What Will I Do?

    • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems accurately and efficiently.
    • Perform repairs consistent with and exceeding National Electrical Code standards.
    • Increase customer loyalty by maintaining a clean working area.
    • Educating and offering the customer appropriate upgrades that you can complete immediately or at scheduled time.
    • Accurately estimate and invoice repairs and projects
    • Document work completed with before and after photos.
    • Demonstrate Safe working practices and methods.
    • Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers

    Qualifications

    Do I have What it Takes?

    • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in residential electrical wiring, repair and troubleshooting all aspects of the Electrical System
    • Apprentice or Journeymen license desired, but not required.
    • Ability to read blueprints, run conduits, wire, and terminate devices, perform quality control testing, and troubleshooting.
    • Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in a new and existing setting
    • Detail oriented with good time management skills.
    • Great attitude & customer service skills, team player 
    • Can lift, carry, and maneuver a minimum of 100 pounds without additional manpower or appropriate device.
    • Must be able to work in the outside elements of heat and cold safely and on ladders and/or roofs medium to high heights.
    • Maintain well-groomed appearance, keep a clean uniform and work shoes.
    • Must have a clean criminal background and drug screen.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
