Aides Supervisor - Home Care supervises a staff of Home Care Aides who provide and support patients with personal care. Schedules home health aides for patient visitation and work assignments. Being a Aides Supervisor - Home Care monitors the quality of care performed by the home health aide staff. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Aides Supervisor - Home Care typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Aides Supervisor - Home Care supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. We have openings for an experienced home care aide working 1:1 with a clients in Northampton, Amherst, South Hadley, Holyoke, Southampton. Shift times vary from 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 4p-8p, 10a-2p, 8a-4p and 9a-1p. Applicants must have prior direct patient care experience and experience working with the elderly. Responsibilities:
- Provide home care nursing services to elderly individuals in their own homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information
- Assist with meal preparation
- Perform lifting and transferring of clients as required
Skills:
- Valid Drivers License
- Experience working with elderly individuals
- Knowledge of ADLs and ability to assist clients with personal care tasks
- Strong understanding of cleanliness and infection control practices
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Compassionate and patient approach
- Ability to prepare meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences
- Physical strength and ability to perform lifting when necessary
