3.0Position Summary
Performs unsupervised gauging and sampling of shore tanks and sampling of barges and ships. Performs barge inspections under the supervision of an experienced Inspector.
Certifies that field assignments conform to company policies and procedures as well as job specific instructions supplied by the Operations Department.
As company field representative, acts in a professional and dignified manner so as to maintain the company’s respected and trusted reputation.
4.0Minimum Requirements
No minimum experience necessary. Requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with good math skills. Must complete training and pass corresponding theoretical tests and field evaluations.

5.0Responsibilities
As instructed by the Operations Department and under the strict guidelines described in the Inspection and ASTM / API manuals :
Acts as a Company representative in the field. Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities as per company policies and procedures.
Maintains regular contact with Operations Department in order to receive work orders and schedules.
6.0Fitness for Duty Physical Demands
Workday may consist of 8-12 hours; however, this can vary day to day or shift to shift. Much of the work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and could include possible exposure to high and low temperatures for prolonged duration of time.
Work may be performed during day or nighttime hours and may involve working alone.
