Aerospace Engineer researches and develops structural engineering specifications for aerospace products, parts, or associated operations to improve the efficiency and reliability of aerospace systems. Analyzes results of stress tests on various craft and missile parts to determine material durability and tolerances. Being an Aerospace Engineer oversees flight tests of prototypes and analyzes resulting data to validate flight characteristics and identify necessary improvements. Conducts calculations and utilizes simulations to evaluate aerodynamics, structural integrity, propulsion efficiency, and the effect on fuel consumption of new or existing materials. Additionally, Aerospace Engineer utilizes CAE, 3-D, and digital modeling to create detailed plans and specifications to support production. Assists quality assurance and purchasing teams with the evaluation of new or existing suppliers, products and materials, or technologies. Understands and complies with all federal regulatory requirements and specifications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Aerospace Engineer work is closely managed. Electrical Design Engineer

  • Duties/Responsibilities

    • Design and development of electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings using industry-standard software and tools.
    • Research and select appropriate electrical components, including validation of U.S content, to ensure optimal system performance.
    • Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and make necessary adjustments to meet performance goals.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including design specifications, bills of materials, and test reports.
    • Ensure that designs comply with relevant safety and industry regulations, and MIL standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, and mechanical, software and systems engineers, to ensure successful project execution.
    • Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges related to mechanical design, both independently and as part of a team.
    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering to drive continuous improvement in our designs.

    Required Skills/Abilities

    • Proficiency in electrical design software.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical components and their applications.
    • Knowledge of PCB design and layout.
    • Skilled with electrical simulation software and tools.
    • Knowledge of defense industry regulations and standards.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience in electrical design engineering, preferably with defense programs such as missile systems and loitering munitions.
    • Experience with re-engineering existing products to meet customer requirements and specifications.
    • Security clearance or eligibility to obtain required.
    • Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 6010
