    Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Proof of valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driver’s license during employment.
    • Proof of CDL or ability to obtain a CDL within six months of hire.
    • 2 years of experience in Directional drilling/locating.
    • Strong attention to detail with an ability to follow instructions accurately.
    • Must be flexible to work long and/or unpredictable hours, which may include weekends, overnights and/or holidays.
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
    • Must provide lace up steel toe boots.
    • Willingness to travel within 150 miles of Omaha.
    • Ability to organize materials and other resources necessary to complete excavation requirements which may include hand tool, shovels, rakes, pick ax, etc.
    • Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations.
    • A commitment to safety, ability to successfully pass drug and alcohol tests and willing to get the job done.

    Responsibilities:

    • Backhoe, Mini excavator, Horizontal directional drill, Drill locating, Static plow and Trencher operating will be required.
    • Candidate must be familiar with Subsite or DCI locators and/or be familiar with Ditch Witch and Vermeer drills of different sizes.
    • Candidate must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull equipment of at least 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, climb ladders and maneuver themselves in and out of trenches and holes.
    • Operate drilling equipment to bore holes for various purposes.
    • Perform horizontal drilling for utility installations.
    • Use skid loaders and backhoes to assist with excavation and material movement.
    • Monitor drilling operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and equipment.
    • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols.
    • Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment utilized in directional boring.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand and/or walk on a variety of surfaces, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls for a minimum of 8 hours a day.

    Work Environment:

    • Work is normally performed in outdoor settings in all weather conditions. Outdoor work may be required in the inspection of buried cable, construction sites and field facilities.
    • We work all year long and do not lay off over the winter.
    • We adhere to all safety and DOT regulations.

    Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
