Junior Content Manager

Ventrix Advertising (www.ventrixadvertising.com) is an industry leader in paid media online and is growing its content marketing division in Reno, NV. Ventrix specializes in helping students and adult learners find high-quality higher education opportunities on the web.

We have an immediate opening for a Jr. Content Manager (flexible on title depending on experience) who will oversee content within the company's content production infrastructure and workflow.

Recent college graduates, those just getting started in their careers, and other ambitious individuals are encouraged to apply.

Desired Skills:

While we will get you up to speed with necessary industry- and company-specific knowledge, possessing the following skills will serve as a great baseline for success.

• Project Management - Ability to manage multiple content projects and tasks simultaneously, and coordinate with different departments to ensure projects are produced and published on schedule.
• Adaptability – Flexibility to adapt to changing content trends, platform requirements, and company goals. We are part of a rapidly involving industry, making adaptability a must.
• SEO Expertise – Proficiency in search engine optimization techniques, including SEO best practices, keyword research, and the ability to implement strategies that improve content visibility and search rankings.
• Team Collaboration – Ability to work effectively in a team setting, facilitating smooth collaboration between writers, designers, technical staff, and marketing teams.
• Communication Skills – Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Organizational Skills- Excellent organizational skills to keep track of content schedules, deadlines, and archives. This also includes the ability to manage workflows and keep projects on track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with freelance writer, editors, designers, and developers to move content from idea to publication
• Create informative and directive content outlines for freelance writers
• Grade freelance writers’ content and provide routine feedback on performance
• Review final pieces of content to ensure they meet SEO best practices
• Make continuous improvements to portfolio websites, including both small- and large-scale projects

Desired Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a subject relevant to the responsibilities above. These subjects may include communications, journalism, English, business administration, journalism, public relations, history, and more.
• 1-3 years of working in a relevant role

Compensation:

Because we’re small, we don’t have a companywide health insurance or retirement plan (yet). However, we want all team members to be able to afford healthcare and stock away money for the long-term. If you have any questions about the compensation details below, please don’t hesitate to ask.

• Base salary range (DOE): $40,000 - $60,000
• Separate monthly bonus of $1,000 for personal care and growth.

TOTAL COMPENSATION RANGE (ANNUAL): $52,000 - $72,000
