Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Adult Family Home of 6 developmentally delayed women. The majority of the clients are busy each day with outside activities and attend via public transportation. As a Home Care Aide, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their Adult Family Home, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others as well as your own.

Looking for overnight/live in person who will work and exchange for rent plus make a paycheck. All residents in rooms and quiet from 7PM-7AM, 5-6 night per week. My overnight staff is there in the event there was an emergency only. 1-2 nights (on occasion) 9PM-8AM.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care and assistance to clients, including light bathing, grooming, and dressing

- No lifitng

- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions

- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior

- Assist with meal preparation for 6 clients and assistance feeding 1 diet on a soft food diet due to an inability to chew

- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and organizing client's living space, load and unload dishwasher, sweep/vaccum floors, dust, clean windows.

- Occassionally engage in meaningful activities with clients

- Implement behavior management techniques for clients with behaviors

- Ensure compliance with resident rights and maintain confidentiality

Skills:

- Experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred

- Knowledge of various behaviors

- Familiarity with medication administration protocols

- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining dignity and privacy

- Ability to work with individuals with developmental delays and inhbiting diagnosis.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently

- Basic knowledge of meal preparation and nutrition principles

- Understanding of social work principles is a plus

- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized environment
