Admitting Supervisor supervises the day-to-day patient admissions and access operations and staff responsible for required registration, and patient intake processes. Follows standardized processes for admission procedures to ensure accurate data collection, a positive patient experience, and effective coordination between clinical and administrative teams. Being an Admitting Supervisor monitors operational metrics to improve processes, increase efficiency, or correct problems. Prepares staff work schedules to ensure coverage and coordinate training and staff resources. Additionally, Admitting Supervisor follows all established policies and standards to preserve patient confidentiality, ensure data security and comply with all applicable regulations. The Admitting Supervisor will assist with the daily activities of Patient Admitting Representatives, Leads, Verifiers, and Quality Control to assure smooth operation of each shift. This position participates provides services necessary to full fill the departmental workload; also, maintains effective working relations with co-workers, nurse, physicians and other hospital staff members. The Supervisor is responsible for assisting with assessing skills and performance of each staff member on a regular basis and providing appropriate resources and training for staff development. Additional responsibilities include policy and procedures, securing of patient accounts, quality assurance, staffing and employee written and verbal communication, departmental competency testing and orientation of new employees.

B. Minimum Experience: 2- 3 years’ experience in hospital setting preferred.
C. Required Certification/Registration: Current BCLS certificate required.
