Admissions Representative - Higher Ed. jobs in Syracuse, NY

We are currently looking for an Inpatient Admissions Representative to join our Admissions Team!

Responsibilities:

• Gathering and recording patient and payment responsibility information
• Securing required signatures to complete admission paperwork
• Answering questions; and providing facility and facility services information
• Maintains records of all admission, discharge and transfer activity
• Compiles data for occupancy census records

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in medical setting such as physician’s office, hospital or nursing home preferred.
• Previous experience dealing with clients in a customer service-based business.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Managed Care and Medicaid regulations preferred.
• Skills required include multi-tasking, listening, verbal communication, written communication, data entry skills, teamwork.
